Hi, I’m Simon Rhodes — founder and head coach at RhodesRunner. A NZ based online Run Coaching business

I wasn’t always a runner. I started in my mid-40s to lose the 20kg that had crept on, to invest in a healthy future, and show my kids what commitment, consistency and hard work can achieve. Running changed everything. What began as a few jogs turned into a journey of transformation — one that led me to compete (and podium, in my age group!) at the NZ National Half Marathon Champs in 2024 and later that year qualify for the Boston Marathon.

Now in my 50s, I’m running faster than ever — and helping other busy people do the same. Whether you’re looking to get started, break through a plateau, or chase a new personal best, all whilst balancing everything else life throws at you, then RhodesRunner can help.

Simon is a qualified Personal Fitness Trainer, McMillan Certified Running Coach and Athletics New Zealand Accredited Coach. He has been a run coach since 2016.
